Maintenance Mechanic
The Leominster Housing Authority seeks a dedicated and energetic candidate for the 40 hour per week position of Maintenance Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for semi-routine and diversified duties in connection with repairs to and maintenance of buildings and grounds requiring many skills found at the journeyman level, such as: carpentry for woodworking repairs, minor plumbing repairs, electrical and painting work. In addition, the incumbent shall perform a variety of unskilled tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, trash removal, and other unskilled duties as required.  The hourly rate for this position is determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor, currently $30.05 plus a full benefit package. 

Leominster is a city in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. It is the second-largest city in Worcester County, with a population of 43,782 at the 2020 census. Leominster is located north of Worcester and northwest of Boston. Both Route 2 and Route 12 pass through Leominster. Interstate 190, Route 13, and Route 117 all have starting/ending points in Leominster. Leominster is bounded by Fitchburg and Lunenburg to the north, Lancaster to the east, Sterling and Princeton to the south, and Westminster to the west. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.8 square miles, of which 28.9 square miles is land and 0.9 square miles, or 2.96%, is water.
