Want to make a difference in your community?  Learn how you can become part of our transit team and help people reach their important destinations safely.  MTS, Inc. is a transportation contractor for the local regional transit authority, MART.  Our companies operate fixed route and paratransit services in and around Fitchburg, Leominster, Gardner, and Athol.  We are currently seeking qualified individuals for the positions below:

Fitchburg:

  • BUS DRIVERS Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brakes 
  • VAN DRIVERS Regular Driver’s License (Class D)
  • DIESEL MECHANIC Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brakes

Gardner:

  • BUS DRIVER Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brakes 
  • VAN DRIVERS Regular Driver’s License (Class D)
  • CLEANER/FUELER Regular Driver’s License (Class D)

Athol:

  • VAN DRIVER Regular Driver’s License (Class D)
  • DISPATCHER Regular Driver's License (Class D)

Drivers ensure the safe transportation of passengers in either a van or a bus (depending upon licensing).  Shifts may be split: 6am-10am & 1pm-5pm (example only), hours vary by position.

 Mechanics are responsible for the appropriate repair and maintenance of MART’s vehicle fleet. Field experience required.

Cleaners/Fuelers maintain the cleanliness of MART’s vehicle fleet as well as checking/filling fluids. This position also maintains the appearance of bus shelters. 

Dispatchers schedule driver work assignments and serve as their daily in-service point of contact.  This role also communicates with the passengers and public regarding service.  Basic computer skills and knowledge is required.   

Operational specific paid training is provided.  Positions require effective communication in English. Positions may require weekends and overtime. Background screening required along with a pre-employment physical and drug screen - including marijuana for all positions.  These are safety sensitive positions.  EOE
