The National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives is seeking an experienced administrative assistant / office manager to support organizational efforts.  The administrative assistant will provide support for the coordination of internal and external meetings and events, draft/edit correspondence, and manage the calendar of the association.  The administrative assistant may conduct research, compile reports, plan logistics, distribute materials, and other administrative duties. The administrative assistant may also support special projects, material creation, shipping program materials,  and other duties as assigned. This position requires an individual with high attention to detail, superb editing skills, excellent communication and coordination skills, ability to problem solve and independently prioritize work. The administrative assistant must possess a high level of skill with programs currently used by the association or those that might be used in the future. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office. The ability to use programs such as Canva, Zoom, Survey Monkey, Constant Contact, WildApriot/Membership Platforms, CRM, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WordPress, and others is advantageous.

Specific tasks include:

Coordinate internal and external meetings for the executive director. This includes logistics and scheduling calls, gather information for in-person meetings, and preparing material for meetings on the calendar for the executive director.

Note-taking, reporting writing, and other support tasks for the executive director.

Tracking grant and program calendars.

Assisting the executive director with event and program planning.

Assist with project management and operational support for association of projects.

Create, post, and track event registrations.

Help prepare member communications.

Order supplies/materials as needed.

Qualifications

Ability to work independently to carry out tasks after collaborating on effort.

Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.

Comfortable taking initiative and “managing up” to ensure tasks stay on track.

Supportive of public safety and first responders.

Skilled using business productivity and task management platforms.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to use programs such as Canva, Zoom, SurveyMonkey, Constant Contact, WildApricot/Membership Platforms, CRM, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WordPress and similar programs preferred.

The position requires 3-5 years of experience.  A degree is advantageous, but not required.

Work Environment and Schedule

The administrative assistant will work from home with occasional travel to meetings in Townsend MA (or the general area). The position requires the ability to lift at least 30lbs.  A drivers license and ability to transport material is required.

The position requires hours to be worked during the day EST (8am-5PM) at least 75% of the time.  There is flexibility with scheduling, however, a consistent schedule with availability at least four days during a traditional work week is preferred.  The position is part-time 15 hours per week, but may fluctuate and increase depending on scheduled association events and projects. Preference is for an individual to be located in Central Massachusetts/Southern New Hampshire to facilitate meetings and work in the Townsend MA area.

Salary range: $25-35 per hour DOQ
